In December 2010 I discovered my first lifestyle blog. It was so inspiring and it opened up a whole new world to me. I've always had a passion for creating a peaceful and pleasing environment so I decided to create this blog to chronicle my decorating journey. At the time I started my blog I was a new mom (my sweet son was 9 months old) and I was (and still am) working full-time out of my home. It was important for me to start adding a personal touch to our home without spending lots of money. In fact, some months I have very little to spend on decorating and some months I have a touch more. My challenge is to take what I have, to shop carefully when I do have cash and create a peaceful home that reflects our family. What I don't want to do is fill our home to the brim with stuff.
